Avi Ben-Simhon was born in 1947 in Fezze, Morocco. His family moved to Israel in 1948, and Avi spent his childhood in the city of Jerusalem. After serving in the army, Avi decided to follow his artistic passion and studied at the Avni Art Institute and then at the Kallisher Institute for contemporary art. Influenced by the Fauvist and Cubist painters of the 19th century, Avi became well known for his bright and intricate graphic printing. Avi has exhibited his work through the world, including Israel, France, Canada, and the United States.
